ADHD Parent Coaching
Parenting a child or teenager with ADHD can be challenging at times. Many parents I work with are doing their best but still feel tired, stuck or unsure what will help most.
I offer individual and small group parent coaching programmes informed by my training with ADHD coach and author Cindy Goldrich. The coaching is practical and uses an evidence-based approach focusing on understanding how the ADHD brain works and what genuinely supports change in everyday family life.
Alongside professional training, I also bring lived experience of ADHD and ASD within my own family, which many parents find reassuring
Individual Parent Coaching
Individual coaching offers a confidential, tailored space to step back, make sense of what is happening at home and develop strategies that fit your child and your family.
Together we look at your child’s unique strengths and challenges while also supporting you in your parenting role. The work is collaborative with an emphasis on approaches that are realistic to use day to day.
Parents often seek support when they are:
- finding themselves in repeated cycles of conflict
- unsure how best to support executive function skills
- navigating big emotions at home
- feeling worn down or second-guessing their parenting
- wanting calmer, more connected family relationships
Through our work together we will aim for:
- a clearer understanding of ADHD and executive function
- practical strategies to use at home
- support around emotional regulation and cooperation
- greater confidence in parenting decisions
- more compassion for both you and your child
.
Parent Group Coaching
Alongside individual work, I offer small group programmes based on the Calm and Connected parent coaching model developed by Cindy Goldrich.
This structured seven-session workshop provides parents with the understanding, tools and support needed to make everyday life with ADHD more manageable.
Across the programme we build a research-informed picture of how ADHD affects development and behaviour. From this foundation, we focus on practical strategies that help you create a calmer home environment where cooperation and progress are more likely.
Each session includes a blend of learning, reflection and coaching, with the added benefit of connecting with other parents who often share similar experiences.
Topics include:
- creating consistent structure that reduces chaos and conflict
- supporting a calmer home environment so listening and learning are more possible
- strengthening your child’s focus, decision-making and self-advocacy skills
- easing homework stress for both you and your child
The groups are warm, supportive and practical, with space to consider what will work best for your own family.
If you would like to explore whether individual coaching or the group programme is the better fit, you are very welcome to get in touch.
