“Executive functioning is not about knowing things. It's about using what you know for effective performance in life - for social, occupational and educational effectiveness "

“I wanted to take a moment to share my experience working with Jennifer, especially regarding my adult ADHD.

After attending sessions with Jennifer, I am finally feeling a sense of clarity that I had not experienced before. She worked closely with me to establish processes that enable me to manage my day-to-day challenges effectively.

Not only do I have strategies in place for myself, but these tools have also been beneficial in helping me support my son’s little outbursts.

Looking back, I can’t help but think how helpful it would have been to have had coaching with Jennifer at a younger age.

I highly recommend her services to anyone seeking support.  She is incredibly calming and thorough, providing a 5-star experience from start to finish.

Thank you, Jennifer, for all your support and guidance.

“My son K has always had focus and concentrtion issues.  I approached Jennifer to coach K as a form of support for his GCSE preparations.  The sessions have been online with Jennifer taking considerable care to support K in setting of goals and tracking of completion of planned tasks.  I have seen him become more self driven, looking forward to sessions with Jennifer as opposed to being pushed for his coaching sessions.  He is totally in charge of his attendance and progress.  He has definitely grown in independence and self-motivation.

I see value of the coaching and I am noticing great improvement in his self-confidence.

K has mentioned that the sessions help him keeping focused and driven, he also just seems to have taken a great liking to his coach for her warmth and therapeutic approachin in her coaching.  Jennifer takes time to celebrate the small gains and wins, building K’s confidence.

I look forward to growth and progress from the future coaching sessions.”

“We first contacted Jenny in September 2024 because our 16-year-old daughter was having emotional issues. Since primary school she had several series of sessions with counsellors, and had completed several rounds of CBT. By this point things had escalated and at times she would be emotionally shut down, unable to get out of bed, hold a conversation and complaining of joint and abdominal pain. She was also prone to anxiety and emotional outbursts which were out of context for the situation.

We saw our GP, who did tests but they did not uncover a physical source for the pains. We felt we had to explore the possibility of a psychological cause of the physical and emotional issues. As a result we began looking for a counsellor/therapist in our area.

We contacted Jenny as we thought the idea of art therapy would appeal to E. After their first session Jenny asked if we had considered having E assessed for neurodiversity as she felt E displayed traits of ASD or ADHD. We have since followed this up and had a confirmed diagnosis of ASD. Jenny was really helpful with getting assistance from the GP and school to facilitate the assessment process and to get E help and support at school and with her upcoming GCSEs.

Since starting to see Jenny, E is generally more calm and more emotionally predictable. We can see the difference in E on weeks when she does not have a session with Jenny. E is more aware of her changes of mood, and has been able to tell us when she is struggling or feeling overwhelmed. She has not been able to do this before. She also seems more comfortable in her self and more aware of her emotions and the impact her outbursts have. This makes life at home much more relaxed and predictable. There are still times when we have to tread carefully, but we feel better able to pick up when E is feeling overwhelmed and better equipped to help her get through it.

Without Jenny’s advice I don’t know if we would have had E assessed for neurodiversity, and we feel this will be hugely beneficial in the future. Since getting an ASD diagnosis E is a lot happier, she now has an explanation for why she feels the way she feels. Jenny has really helped us, and especially E come to terms with what that means, how to recognise when she is becoming overwhelmed, and how to cope when this happens.”
